Principal Data Center MEP Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee engineering design and analysis initiatives for data centers.

• Propel solutions within the power sector through expert design, analysis, and data center systems.

• Manage projects, set direction and strategy, encourage collaboration, and deliver cost-effective, high-quality solutions.

• Create comprehensive designs, calculations, and documentation that comply with industry standards and regulations.

• Perform site inspections and offer practical support for construction and design execution.

• Work collaboratively across disciplines to develop integrated engineering solutions.

• Address client needs, nurture strong relationships, and ensure project success.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.

• Generally requires 6 years of experience in a design engineering position focused on hyperscale data center design.

• Typically requires a total of 15 years of design experience.

• PE – Professional Engineer designation is preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.

• Minimum basic proficiency in CAD software is required.

• Experience with ETABS software is strongly preferred.

• Exceptional writing, presentation, and communication skills are necessary.

• Ability to work independently as well as effectively within teams.

• Capability to serve as the lead responsible engineer for multi-discipline projects.

• Must be able to climb ladders and/or stairs at client locations.

• Willingness to travel 15–25% of the time is required.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship.
