Principal AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Offer technical guidance to the team, steering the design, development, and deployment of AI-driven software solutions.

• Create scalable, modular systems and effectively communicate architectural choices across various services and domains.

• Ensure that development practices align with domain-driven design principles and micro-services architecture.

• Design and construct MCPs/APIs and AI Agents for seamless integration into existing platforms.

• Develop and enhance prompt strategies for AI agents responsible for writing code, documentation, and tests.

• Transform high-level product objectives into practical engineering tasks optimized for both human and AI execution.

• Conduct thorough code reviews for both human- and AI-generated code, ensuring high standards of performance, security, and correctness.

• Mentor developers across the globe and promote the adoption of AI tools, clean coding practices, and contemporary software design.

• Collaborate on improving build and deployment pipelines with AI-supported review and testing processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of software engineering experience, emphasizing design and architectural technical leadership.

• More than 2 years of experience with AI/ML models in a production setting.

• Strong expertise in backend or full-stack technologies, particularly Python.

• Proven experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Devin AI, GH Copilot, or various GPT APIs.

• Strong system design skills focused on RAG/Agentic systems and task decomposition.

• Demonstrated ability to lead distributed engineering teams.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Familiarity with AI agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGPT, AgentCore).

• Experience with domain-driven design (DDD) or MCPs/Micro-services architecture.

• Background in vector/graph databases, embeddings, or related LLM infrastructure.

• A portfolio or examples of previous work showcasing a passion for AI-driven software development.

• Previous experience in a dynamic SaaS or startup environment.

• Knowledge of the HR, Legal, or Risk industries.
