Principal AI Engineer – AI Tutor

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance the foundational AI tutoring framework, which encompasses prompt structures, agentic processes, and real-time adaptive functionalities.

• Conduct thorough experiments and assessments, creating tailored metrics and frameworks to evaluate learning efficacy and enhance model dependability.

• Design and execute scalable, maintainable software that integrates AI features with platform systems, content workflows, and user experience elements.

• Work in conjunction with educators, content developers, and product teams to convert educational objectives into technical implementations.

• Create prototypes and transition innovative model interactions into production utilizing cutting-edge research and capabilities.

• Maintain quality, safety, and observability by implementing monitoring, testing, safeguards, and continuous refinement of model performance.

• Disseminate knowledge and uplift team members, fostering clarity, simplicity, and ongoing learning.

• Over 1 year of experience in developing complex LLM-based systems.

• Strong intuition for prompt engineering.

• Proven experience in designing agentic workflows.

• Proficiency in creating meaningful evaluation techniques, including custom metrics and frameworks.

• Solid foundation in software engineering principles and architectural design.

• Proficient in Python programming.

• Familiarity with production infrastructure, cloud environments, and CI/CD practices.

• Active engagement in AI research and emerging technologies.

• Empathy for both learners and content developers.

• Capability to translate educational goals into system functionality and product decisions.

• Ability to think critically about AI behavior, content organization, platform features, and user experience.
