Pricing Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Assess shipment and routing performance across various dimensions including country, carrier, service, zone, weight, cost, transit time, and applicable surcharges.

• Verify carrier/vendor rate cards and detect alterations in costs.

• Evaluate routing alternatives and measure anticipated costs, transit times, service levels, and operational effects to support decisions related to the network and customers.

• Refresh pricing models and assist with pricing inquiries utilizing Passport’s Rates Management System and pricing templates.

• Transform approved network decisions into routing regulations, rate tables, and system-compatible files.

• Conduct output testing and address discrepancies prior to the implementation of routing modifications.

• Monitor routing outcomes post-implementation and investigate any unexpected cost or service results.

• Suggest practical adjustments as necessary.

• Document routing logic, controls, and ongoing workflows.

• Complete training on Passport’s international shipping capabilities and delivery network.

• Execute routing and cost analyses within established timelines, typically within 5 business days.

• Independently prepare, verify, and implement routing adjustments.

• Generate pricing requests through the Rates Management System.

• Analyze annual network cost variances and assist with yearly rate updates.

• Oversee recurring routing workflows from analysis and documentation through to implementation support, verification, and follow-up.

• Contribute to documentation that enhances team redundancy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Capability to interpret intricate shipment, cost, and pricing data and convert it into actionable insights.

• Familiarity with carrier cost structures, rate cards, service alternatives, routing rules, and the effects of routing decisions on costs, transit, and customer satisfaction.

• Eagerness to utilize AI tools to enhance analysis, modeling, and workflows; while AI experience is advantageous, a curiosity and willingness to integrate AI into daily tasks are essential.

• Strong proficiency in Excel for data modeling and manipulation.

• SQL experience is preferred for handling large datasets.

• Ability to effectively communicate cost drivers, risks, and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.

• High degree of accuracy in routing rules, rate tables, shipment data, cost models, and pricing outputs.

• Ability to examine edge cases and identify gaps prior to launch.

• Familiarity with logistics, shipping, or e-commerce is beneficial but not mandatory.

• Skill in collaborating with commercial, operations, and product teams.

• Capability to consistently apply routing rules, identify exceptions, and escalate decisions requiring network or commercial approval.

• Ability to work independently, manage sensitive pricing information, and align with organizational objectives.
