Presales Storage Architect – Unstructured Data, Hybrid Cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with clients to develop scalable solutions for file and object storage.

• Facilitate solution workshops, assessments, and proofs of concept to verify technical compatibility and performance.

• Design and document enterprise-level file and object storage solutions customized to meet client requirements.

• Oversee proofs of concept to assess performance, scalability, and integration across different platforms.

• Create storage architectures that support AI inferencing, RAG pipelines, and data-heavy workloads.

• Enhance throughput, metadata performance, latency, and overall platform efficiency.

• Work closely with product management to collect customer needs, influence the product roadmap, and direct technological advancements.

• Offer thought leadership, conduct competitive analysis, and develop positioning strategies.

• Deliver technical solutions to both executive and technical audiences.

• Assist in pre-sales activities, including RFIs/RFPs and solution justification.

• Stay updated on trends in unstructured storage, cloud storage integration, and emerging technologies.

• Travel extensively to engage with customers, partners, and internal teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical experience in designing and implementing unstructured storage solutions.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Strong experience in customer-facing roles involving technical solution design and implementation.

• Proficiency with NFS, SMB, and S3 file/object storage protocols.

• Familiarity with object storage technologies and their APIs.

• Experience in planning and conducting proofs of concept.

• Practical experience with AI data pipelines, including inferencing and RAG.

• Knowledge of storage tuning for large, performance-critical unstructured workloads.

• Background in selling enterprise storage solutions across one or more industry sectors.

• Experience with at least one enterprise file/object storage platform such as Dell EMC PowerScale/ObjectScale, Pure Storage FlashBlade, NetApp ONTAP, NetApp Object Grid, or similar platforms.

• Willingness and capability to travel for customer interactions.

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and GCP storage solutions and integration methods is a significant advantage.

• Understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud storage architectures is a valuable asset.

• Awareness of the competitive landscape is a strong plus.

• Experience in customer success, consulting, or solution advisory roles is a considerable advantage.
