Presales Business Applications Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design of enterprise applications and software engineering transformation solutions.

• Establish target application architectures that are aligned with business capabilities and customer goals.

• Create modern software solutions utilizing microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native principles.

• Evaluate legacy application landscapes and suggest modernization strategies, including replatforming, refactoring, decomposition, and cloud migration.

• Develop product-centric operating models that support agile delivery, platform engineering, and value-stream-based organizations.

• Define integration architectures that utilize APIs, event streaming, service meshes, and integration platforms.

• Integrate security, resilience, observability, and performance best practices into solution designs.

• Work collaboratively with cloud, infrastructure, security, data, and DevOps specialists to create comprehensive transformation propositions.

• Assist in client workshops, bid responses, technical presentations, and solution governance activities.

• Contribute to the advancement of Atos application modernization offerings, reference architectures, and engineering accelerators.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in application transformation, legacy modernization, and cloud adoption.

• Familiarity with microservices, APIs, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native design.

• Experience with Agile delivery, product operating models, and platform engineering.

• Proficient in Azure, AWS, or GCP.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, or serverless platforms.

• Experience in presales and stakeholder engagement, including solution shaping, customer workshops, bid support, and stakeholder management.

• TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification is a plus.

• Certifications in Azure, AWS, or GCP are advantageous.

• Experience in Government, Defence, Financial Services, or other regulated sectors is a plus.

• Familiarity with platform engineering and developer experience tooling is a plus.

• Experience in large-scale digital transformation programs is a plus.
