This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
β’ Foster technical advocacy for HPE storage solutions within the partner ecosystem
β’ Provide guidance to channel partners on the positioning, design, and delivery of HPE storage and data protection solutions
β’ Cultivate relationships with technical and sales teams of partners
β’ Empower partner engineers through interactive sessions, workshops, whiteboarding, and hands-on labs
β’ Identify and nurture technical champions within partner organizations
β’ Represent HPE at partner events, technology days, and customer-facing briefings
β’ Assess technical requirements and evaluate existing IT infrastructure alongside partners and end customers
β’ Convert requirements into structured solutions, alternatives, and gap analyses
β’ Conduct presentations and demonstrations linking HPE capabilities to business results
β’ Assist with solution configurations and proofs of concept
β’ Develop competitive strategies in collaboration with partners
β’ Generate, qualify, and advance storage opportunities with HPE account teams, channel managers, and partners
β’ Promote technology adoption, upgrades, and refreshes throughout the existing customer base
β’ Maintain precise pipeline information
β’ Ensure a seamless transition from sale to implementation while identifying training requirements
β’ Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
β’ Over 5 years of technical presales experience with a leading storage vendor or storage-centric channel partner
β’ Extensive hands-on experience in pitching, demonstrating, and designing complex storage solutions
β’ Knowledge of virtualization technologies, including VMware or KVM-based systems
β’ Proficient with at least two application stacks, such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or SAP
β’ Practical working knowledge of at least one major public cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
β’ Expertise in block, file, backup, ransomware protection, and related data lifecycle solutions
β’ In-depth competitive knowledge of at least one major storage vendor
β’ Preferably knowledgeable in at least one significant vertical
β’ Strong understanding of channel partner business models and offerings
β’ Excellent consultative selling abilities along with strong written and verbal communication skills
β’ Profound understanding of storage industry trends, competitor products, and strategies
β’ Strong business and financial acumen
β’ Project management, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
β’ Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools
β’ Strongly preferred: Storage-related industry certifications
β’ Must reside in the greater New York/New Jersey area
β’ Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time to partner and customer locations
