Practice Consultant – Demand Side Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +13 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist in the design of solutions for business pursuits, which includes strategy measurement, program structuring, budgeting, and pricing.

• Convert market, regulatory, and client requirements into customized program designs.

• Create solution specifications that are specific to clients, geography, or locations, ensuring alignment with delivery capabilities and technical needs.

• Contribute to the development of persuasive and supported proposals.

• Ensure continuity between proposal assumptions and program execution during the transition to Program Delivery.

• Collaborate with delivery teams to confirm that solutions are feasible, scalable, and operationally appropriate.

• Finalize solution specifications and integrate value propositions into RFP responses or Statements of Work.

• Work in conjunction with business development, delivery, engineering, product, IT, and marketing teams.

• Bring stakeholders together around cohesive solution strategies while managing conflicting priorities.

• Utilize and enhance solution design methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.

• Identify avenues to boost efficiency, quality, and consistency in program design.

• Assist in the creation of training materials and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

• Maintain current knowledge of DSM, electrification, and distributed energy resource programs.

• Track market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.

• Provide support for occasional client presentations.

• Guide the direction of solutions and service offerings alongside Product, Engineering, and Business Intelligence teams.

• Recognize gaps in existing offerings that align with market needs.

• Aid in revenue growth through solution development and competitive positioning.

• Assist with pricing strategies, cost modeling, and financial analysis.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy efficiency, demand-side management, electrification, or a related field.

• Proven track record of supporting the design and implementation of energy programs or solutions.

• Strong skills in financial modeling, analytics, and data interpretation.

• Proficiency in Excel, PowerBI, or similar analytical tools.

• Knowledge of regulated utility environments, related filings, and evaluation frameworks.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and deliver results within tight deadlines.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex information to varied audiences.

• Experience in supporting program offerings across multiple markets is preferred.

• Proven expertise in process design, workflow mapping, and operational optimization is preferred.

• Experience utilizing advanced analytics or AI tools to enhance efficiency and outcomes is preferred.

• Educational background in engineering, economics, environmental science, DSM programming, or related analytical or DSM-based fields is preferred.

• If applicable, meet all DOT qualification standards and adhere to all relevant federal, state, and local transportation regulations.

• Must have authorization to work in the country where the position is located without employer sponsorship or support.
