This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Perform an audit of competitor placements and citations.
• Execute citation analyses on notable examples to determine what garnered citations and what can be replicated.
• Discover whitespace and viable opportunity areas.
• Map the credibility of placements for key personas and condition areas across trade, consumer health, clinical, caregiver, and adjacent media.
• Evaluate publications and platforms for their domain authority and likelihood of citation.
• Identify sources that are likely to be highlighted and cited by AI platforms.
• Suggest content, placement, and activation strategies including digital PR, trade press, contributed bylines, and data assets.
• Assess options against feasibility, regulatory constraints, and potential communications objections.
• Compose a comprehensive strategic proposal encompassing findings, perspectives, recommendations, rationale, and outstanding questions.
• Draft necessary narrative language and framing as required.
• Collaborate with the Executive Producer, Comms strategy oversight lead, and Account Director.
• Anticipate Medical, Legal, and Regulatory reviews and propose substantiable approaches.
• Engage in working sessions and revision cycles.
• Deliver a polished client-ready strategic proposal within four weeks to ensure stakeholder alignment.
• Over 5 years of experience in PR, corporate communications, editorial, or brand narrative writing.
• Must be available and responsive during core Eastern Time business hours, approximately 9:00 AM–6:00 PM ET.
• Must have dedicated daytime availability along with a focused, deadline-driven approach.
• Capable of transforming research and competitive analysis into a defensible strategic recommendation.
• Direct experience in writing for healthcare, pharma, or other regulated sectors.
• Familiarity with MLR or equivalent review processes is highly preferred.
• Proven track record in placing or drafting contributed content, bylines, trade press, and digital PR in reputable publications.
• Working knowledge of SEO, GEO, or how AI platforms source and cite content is a significant advantage.
• Ability to work independently within a tight four-week timeframe with a fixed deliverable.
• Strong, clear communication skills with the ability to present and defend recommendations to senior client stakeholders.
• LLC experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Portfolio or writing samples are required, ideally showcasing a strategic proposal, messaging framework, or a placed contributed piece.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout employment.
• This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Option for remote work.
• Potential for extension into a separately scoped October engagement (not guaranteed).
