Power Platform Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and develop solutions utilizing Model-Driven Apps and Canvas Apps on the Power Platform.

• Design and sustain Dataverse data models, which encompass tables, relationships, business rules, and security roles.

• Construct and enhance Power Pages portals aimed at providing external-facing client and citizen experiences.

• Write custom logic employing Power Fx, C# plugins, and JSON-based configurations.

• Streamline business processes through Power Automate cloud flows, incorporating connectors and Azure services.

• Lead or assist in the conversion of legacy systems, specifically transitioning InfoPath forms and SharePoint workflows to contemporary Power Platform solutions.

• Establish and uphold governance frameworks, including environment strategy, DLP policies, solution layering, and ALM practices.

• Design and manage security models, which involve business units, teams, roles, field-level security, and hierarchy security.

• Oversee application lifecycle management utilizing Power Platform CLI (pac cli) and Azure DevOps pipelines.

• Collaborate with architects and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable and secure solutions.

• Offer insights on licensing and capacity planning for Power Platform environments.

• Document solution architecture, security models, and governance policies for client transition.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience with Microsoft Power Platform: Power Apps (Model-Driven and Canvas), Power Automate, Power Pages, and Power Fx.

• Strong understanding of Dataverse, including data modeling, plugin development, and Web API/SDK.

• Proficient in C# for developing custom plugins and workflows.

• Experience with JSON for configuration, API payloads, and custom connector development.

• Hands-on experience in converting legacy InfoPath forms and traditional SharePoint workflows to modern platforms.

• Solid grasp of Power Platform governance, including environment strategy, DLP policies, and tenant-level administration.

• Proven experience with Dataverse/Power Platform security models (roles, teams, business units, column and hierarchy security).

• Familiarity with ALM practices such as managed/unmanaged solutions, source control, and CI/CD via Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

• Comfortable engaging directly with clients in a consulting role — gathering requirements, designing solutions, and delivering presentations.

• Over 5 years of practical development and consulting experience with Power Platform.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage directly with client stakeholders.

• Willingness to travel as required for client engagements.
