Power Markets Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Create, sustain, and analyze datasets related to power markets to assist FactSet clients in making informed decisions.

• Examine the effects of energy transitions and political shifts on current power plants as well as the development of new facilities.

• Establish and maintain comprehensive databases for global wind, solar, and thermal energy plants.

• Develop and uphold other critical energy datasets and analyses.

• Acquire in-depth knowledge of the regulatory frameworks and market conditions that influence plant operations and profitability.

• Conduct thorough and timely analyses both independently and in collaboration with team members.

• Proactively share insights and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

• Comprehend how clients utilize FactSet data and analysis for their needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Power Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or a related field.

• 1-3 years of experience in the Power Market or Energy Industry.

• Familiarity with SQL, Python, and other programming languages is preferred.

• Experience handling large datasets.

• Strong writing capabilities.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

• Experience in modeling is advantageous.

• Financial or economic knowledge/experience is a bonus.

• High attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks both independently and as part of a team.
