Power BI Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and maintain a robust, scalable, and secure Power BI Service environment.

• Develop dashboards and reporting solutions tailored for a variety of business users.

• Create intricate custom visualizations within Power BI.

• Conduct data validation to ensure accuracy and quality across various datasets.

• Work collaboratively with developers and technical teams to improve reporting capabilities and establish best practices.

• Collect business requirements and identify opportunities for reporting enhancements.

• Lead technical discussions with stakeholders.

• Produce and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and reporting standards.

• Provide Power BI training, mentorship, and co-development sessions.

• Ensure that reports adhere to performance, accessibility, security, and compliance standards.

• Configure and manage access controls, security models, and governance protocols.

• Develop and sustain data refresh strategies utilizing Azure SQL Server and other data sources.

• Offer project status updates and progress reports to stakeholders and clients.

• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to ensure long-term sustainability of solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, reporting, or Power BI development roles.

• More than 5 years of advanced experience in Power BI development.

• Strong proficiency in Power BI Service administration and enterprise reporting environments.

• Experience in designing interactive dashboards, reports, and data models.

• Advanced understanding of data validation, data quality assurance, and troubleshooting techniques.

• Familiarity with Azure SQL Server and associated data sources.

• Excellent skills in technical documentation.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, particularly when interacting with senior executives and business leaders.

• Proven experience in gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical reporting solutions.

• Strong presentation and facilitation capabilities.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related discipline.

• Proficiency in English is essential.

• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

• Microsoft Power BI certifications are highly regarded.

• Additional certifications in Microsoft Azure or Data Analytics are considered advantageous.
