This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Take full responsibility for comprehensive cybersecurity execution across all Diagnostics operating companies worldwide.
• Convert Danaher's global cyber strategy, policies, and standards into quantifiable results.
• Act as the senior cybersecurity executive for the platform and the primary accountable representative for cyber matters to both executive and operational leaders.
• Establish, lead, and nurture a globally dispersed Platform Security Team.
• Collaborate with the six DIS Global Services pillars within a matrixed framework.
• Manage the Diagnostics Platform's cyber risk register, technical risk management, prioritization of vulnerability management, remediation delivery, architecture review execution, integration and remediation engineering, along with platform architecture standards.
• Oversee platform cyber assurance, which includes customer security questionnaires, audit responses, and cybersecurity certification initiatives.
• Work closely with central Product Security on FDA premarket cybersecurity, postmarket vulnerability management, SBOM, and PSIRT operations.
• Facilitate cyber diligence, integration, and the transition from day-1 to steady-state onboarding for acquired business units.
• Direct data protection efforts, AI security governance coordination, application security engineering, secrets management, and MFA coordination.
• Safeguard OT and manufacturing plant environments across global manufacturing locations.
• Manage the platform cyber PMO across various time zones, which includes cadence, RAG reporting, resource allocation, initiative execution, KPI/posture reporting, and continuous enhancement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• A minimum of 12 years of experience in information security.
• Proven experience in directly overseeing a cybersecurity function that serves multiple business units, sites, or operating companies within a global organization.
• Background as a CISO, Deputy CISO, Business Unit or Divisional CISO, or similar senior cyber leadership role.
• Responsibility for a comprehensive program covering security architecture, risk management, assurance, application/data security, and collaboration with SOC and incident response.
• Experience in leading an information security function across various management levels within globally distributed teams and time zones.
• Familiarity with operating in a decentralized, multi-business-unit environment.
• Proven ability to influence without direct authority and drive execution through matrixed relationships.
• Experience managing cybersecurity certification and audit programs, including ISO 27001, HITRUST, SOC 2, PCI DSS, or comparable standards.
• Experience in managing customer security questionnaires and third-party assurance responses at scale.
• Background in product security for connected medical devices, IVD instruments, or other regulated hardware.
• Knowledge of FDA premarket and postmarket medical device cybersecurity requirements.
• Experience in running a cybersecurity program across multiple countries and data protection frameworks such as HIPAA, GDPR, China PIPL, or similar.
• Experience with cyber diligence and integration post-mergers and acquisitions.
• Willingness to travel up to 25-30% of the time, including for international trips.
• Previous experience in cybersecurity leadership roles within medical devices, IVD, diagnostics, life sciences, or other regulated, patient-facing industries is advantageous.
• Strong familiarity with FDA Section 524B, IEC 81001-5-1, IEC 62443-4-1/4-2, and EU IVDR / MDR cybersecurity expectations is a plus.
