Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Develop and maintain code for automating public cloud infrastructure and the Internal Developer Platform.

• Create documentation for system design, configurations, processes, and decisions that support an asynchronous, distributed team environment.

• Work collaboratively with remote engineers to enhance the Veeam Data Cloud platform.

• Engage with containers, serverless infrastructure, public cloud services, and other innovative SaaS technologies.

• Participate in an on-call rotation to support product operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in production operations within a SaaS or cloud service provider.

• Proficiency in a high-level programming language such as TypeScript or Python.

• Experience in automating infrastructure through code using tools like Pulumi or Terraform.

• Familiarity with GitHub Actions.

• Comprehensive knowledge of various public cloud services.

• Experience in building and maintaining enterprise SaaS products.

• Understanding of operational excellence principles in a SaaS context.

• Knowledge and experience in implementing secure design principles in cloud environments.

• Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies and apply them effectively.

• Strong inclination towards proactive action and frequent, direct communication.

• A degree in a technical discipline.
