Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with technical leaders, product managers, program/project managers, and business stakeholders to enhance RTX data capabilities.

• Integrate APIs, SDKs, and automation processes.

• Lead cross-functional initiatives to deliver AI/ML capabilities via production software and cloud engineering.

• Implement generative AI, AIOps, GenOps, MLOps, and ML-augmented engineering solutions.

• Ensure that capabilities are designed, implemented, maintained, monitored, and supported throughout their lifecycle.

• Maintain both high-level and low-level perspectives of technical systems.

• Coordinate with teams and subject matter experts across various disciplines.

• Design, develop, test, and deploy production-quality software.

• Maintain solutions that are scalable, observable, readable, automated, and CI/CD-enabled.

• Provide guidance for technical support and create user documentation.

• Mentor early- and mid-career team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 5 years of experience.

• Over 3 years of experience in data science and machine learning.

• More than 3 years of experience with the Software Development Life Cycle and software application/product development.

• Proficiency in Python and the Python scientific stack.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory; only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

• Relevant experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS and/or Azure.

• Strong organizational skills for knowledge, documentation, and data management.

• Experience with SQL, Node, REST APIs, and testing libraries.

• Proven experience building products utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs) and LLM APIs.

• Technical leadership experience as an engineering lead for a program, product, or large project.

• Experience as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
