Partner IAM – Security Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, test, and uphold secure applications and services utilizing Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and pertinent web technologies.

• Engineer identity solutions leveraging Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Entra External ID, with an emphasis on external/B2B identities.

• Develop integrations with Microsoft Graph API and associated Microsoft identity services.

• Design, develop, and maintain Spring Boot RESTful API microservices and web user interfaces.

• Collaborate with technical leads, architects, security teams, and application teams to deliver IAM platform capabilities that align with enterprise standards.

• Analyze, design, and implement both tactical and strategic IAM solutions to enhance security posture and user experience.

• Contribute to the IAM platform strategy, technical architecture, and product roadmaps.

• Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, operational dashboards, and diagnostic capabilities utilizing KQL.

• Support production operations, including managing service requests, incidents, problems, and performing root-cause analysis.

• Create and maintain documentation for architecture, APIs, coding, configuration, operational, and application onboarding.

• Apply Agile software development methodologies.

• Develop and utilize CI/CD pipelines to automate building, testing, security validation, and deployment processes.

• Collaborate with globally distributed and cross-functional teams.

• Own the comprehensive software engineering lifecycle from requirements gathering and design to production support.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or comparable alternatives.

• Participate in rotational on-call support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in software engineering, IAM, or IT.

• Hands-on experience in designing or engineering identity solutions using Microsoft Entra ID, particularly in supporting external/B2B identities.

• Extensive experience in developing RESTful APIs with Java and Spring Boot.

• Familiarity with integrating applications using Microsoft Graph API.

• Experience in web application development using Angular or another modern JavaScript/TypeScript framework.

• Strong knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases.

• Experience in building APIs, batch services, or web applications with automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Proven experience in implementing automated build, testing, security, and deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines.

• Proficiency in using GitHub, Jira, and Postman.

• Familiarity with tools like 42Crunch, SonarQube, or Checkmarx.

• Experience with PowerShell or similar scripting/automation technologies.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex enterprise applications and identity integrations.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Capacity to communicate intricate technical concepts to engineering teams, application owners, business partners, and leadership.

• Experience in effective collaboration with globally distributed teams.

• Ability to manage priorities and ambiguity while meeting deadlines.

• Willingness to participate in rotational on-call support.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Microsoft Entra External ID, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, KQL, GitHub Copilot, and large-enterprise IAM experience.
