Planning Manager, Central CMMS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and manage the enterprise CMMS, encompassing system configuration, asset hierarchy, data standards, and user access.

• Develop and implement maintenance planning and scheduling standards across all locations.

• Standardize preventive maintenance programs, job plans, and work instructions based on asset criticality.

• Enhance work management practices, focusing on backlog control, adherence to schedules, and quality of work orders.

• Collaborate with site maintenance teams to optimize planned versus reactive work and ensure consistency in execution.

• Establish CMMS-related KPIs and reporting mechanisms for maintenance performance, compliance, and cost transparency.

• Guarantee precise recording of labor, downtime, parts usage, and failure data.

• Assist in new site launches by ensuring CMMS readiness, maintaining asset data integrity, setting up preventive maintenance, and facilitating handoffs to operations.

• Systematize lessons learned and continuously enhance planning and work management processes.

• Work alongside IT and vendors on CMMS integrations, upgrades, and ongoing support.

• Collaborate with Finance and Supply Chain on inventory governance, spare parts planning, and maintenance cost management.

• Mentor, coach, and provide support to site planners, supervisors, and maintenance leaders.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Technology, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.

• At least 8 years of experience in maintenance planning, CMMS administration, or maintenance operations roles.

• Practical experience in implementing or scaling CMMS platforms in multi-site settings.

• Preferred experience in supporting automated or highly mechanized operations, including robotics, AS/RS, conveyors, AGVs, or automated material handling systems.

• Strong preference for candidates with startup, ramp-up, or greenfield site experience.

• Comprehensive understanding of maintenance planning, scheduling, and work management best practices.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and governing CMMS asset hierarchies, preventive maintenance programs, and job plans.

• Capacity to convert maintenance execution data into operational and financial insights.

• Excellent organizational, analytical, and process design abilities.

• Capability to influence site teams and leaders without direct authority.

• Effective and clear communication skills tailored for both operational and executive audiences.

• Ability to operate in active warehouse and automation environments, with exposure to moving equipment and elevated structures.

• Must adhere to all safety protocols, including PPE, LOTO, and site-specific safety measures.
