This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +1 more state.
β’ Oversee a caseload of plaintiff-side property insurance litigation cases from their initiation to resolution.
β’ Directly engage with clients to discuss strategies, case progress, and potential settlement options.
β’ Prepare legal documents including complaints, motions, discovery requests, responses, and briefs.
β’ Conduct and defend depositions.
β’ Participate in hearings, mediations, and settlement discussions.
β’ Collaborate closely with seasoned attorneys while retaining responsibility for your cases.
β’ Litigate cases in both Illinois state and federal courts.
β’ A valid Missouri law license in good standing.
β’ Minimum of one year of experience in civil litigation.
β’ Familiarity with discovery processes, motion practice, and depositions.
β’ Strong skills in legal writing, research, and analysis.
β’ Excellent communication and client service skills.
β’ A self-driven attorney who excels in a dynamic plaintiff litigation setting.
β’ Preferred experience in property insurance litigation.
β’ Kansas licensure is a significant advantage, although not mandatory.
