This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Supervise service delivery in Regions 7 and 8, ensuring fair allocation of PITC RSN funds and resources across designated counties.

• Provide PITC training and technical assistance to center-based programs, family child care programs, and family, friend, and neighbor caregivers.

• Assess the quality of PITC RSN services within the regions.

• Record and evaluate service delivery activities and submit necessary reports.

• Guide and mentor Infant/Toddler Specialists through biannual observations, feedback, service evaluation reviews, regional meetings, monthly check-ins, and professional development support.

• Participate in statewide communication, outreach, marketing, resource development, and ongoing enhancement of the PITC RSN service delivery model.

• Liaise with the PITC RSN team on service priorities, timelines, staffing, and resource development.

• Direct regional outreach efforts for Family Child Care, Family Friend and Neighbor, and center-based providers.

• Organize training and technical assistance in collaboration with Quality Counts California and other California Department of Social Services quality improvement initiatives.

• Recruit participants for the PITC Trainer Institute.

• Speak at conferences and manage the PITC exhibit as needed.

• Attend and contribute to regional, area, and statewide stakeholder meetings.

• Create proposals to broaden PITC initiatives across California.

• Oversee Fee-For-Service requests in coordination with PITC RSN Managers.

• Design and facilitate sessions at the annual PITC RSN Advanced Training and other statewide professional development events.

• Engage in professional development to stay updated on infant/toddler care and development expertise.


⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced degree in child development, early childhood education, or a related field, along with experience in implementing infant/toddler programs.

• Full certification in the Program for Infant/Toddler Care (PITC) is mandatory.

• Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish or English/Chinese is preferred.

• Candidates must reside in one of the counties within Region 7 or 8: Fresno, Kings, Madera, Tulare, Kern, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, or Ventura.

• Familiarity with California early care and education policies, research, and trends, including California's Quality Improvement System (QIS).

• A minimum of three years’ experience in providing training, mentoring, and coaching to early childhood programs.

• Exceptional written and oral communication skills (including public speaking).

• Proven leadership and supervisory abilities, including experience in managing remote teams.

• Capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities; flexibility in adjusting to changing scopes of work and funding structures.

• High level of self-awareness and dedication to personal professional growth and ongoing learning.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and under supervision.

• Capacity to handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly.

• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing equity-promoting policies.

• Proficiency in Microsoft WORD, PowerPoint, EXCEL, project management software, and electronic filing systems (BOX).

• Willingness to travel regularly throughout the regions and occasionally for statewide meetings and conferences is required.

• Visa sponsorship is not available; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful candidates will need to pass a criminal background check and education verification.
