Physician – Virtual Primary Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide top-notch, patient-centered primary care through virtual channels such as video consultations, live chat, and secure messaging.

• Commit to a minimum of 36 patient contact hours weekly for primary care services.

• Perform virtual evaluations, diagnoses, and formulate evidence-based treatment plans.

• Oversee and coordinate care for patients with chronic health conditions.

• Deliver preventive care, wellness counseling, and health education.

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results.

• Prescribe medications in compliance with state and federal laws.

• Manage referrals and prior authorizations effectively.

• Oversee scheduling and follow-up communications.

• Accurately document tasks and communications in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

• Complete compliance, continuing medical education (CME), and licensing responsibilities.

• Stay current with clinical knowledge and procedures, including updates to EMR systems.

• Engage in clinical quality and process improvement projects.

• Achieve performance benchmarks for patient satisfaction, documentation, response time, clinical quality, and productivity.

• Act as a collaborating physician for designated Nurse Practitioners by providing oversight, reviewing charts, offering care consultations, mentorship, and conducting video visits as necessary.

• Ensure adherence to HIPAA and maintain confidentiality.

• Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD or DO degree from a recognized medical institution.

• Current, unrestricted medical license to practice.

• Active board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.

• Minimum of 5 years of clinical practice experience following residency.

• Possession of active medical licenses in at least one of CA, TX, or FL, along with 5 additional state licenses.

• Preference for candidates eligible for expedited licensure via the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) in 5 more states.

• Willingness to obtain additional state licenses as required.

• Availability to work during weekends and designated holidays.

• Knowledge of regulatory and documentation standards concerning physician oversight and collaboration with Advanced Practice Providers.

• Capacity to work independently while managing a high volume of patient interactions via video and chat.

• Proficiency in navigating telehealth platforms and EMR systems.

• Adaptability to AI-enhanced tools and digital resources.

• Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Effective time management skills in a remote work setting.

• Reliable access to high-speed internet is a must.

• Excellent communication skills, clinical judgment, and ability to engage patients effectively.
