Physician – Virtual Primary Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide exceptional, patient-focused, virtual-first primary care to individuals throughout the United States via video consultations, live chat, and secure messaging.

• Commit to a minimum of 36 hours per week dedicated to primary care patients in a virtual environment.

• Perform thorough virtual evaluations, diagnoses, and develop evidence-based treatment plans.

• Oversee and coordinate care for chronic health conditions.

• Deliver preventive care, wellness guidance, and health education.

• Request and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results.

• Prescribe medications following state and federal regulations.

• Manage referrals and prior authorization processes.

• Organize scheduling and conduct follow-up outreach.

• Record tasks and communications within the EMR system.

• Complete compliance, CME, and licensing obligations.

• Stay current with clinical knowledge and processes, including updates to EMR platforms.

• Engage in clinical quality and process enhancement initiatives.

• Achieve or surpass performance benchmarks for patient satisfaction, documentation accuracy, response times, clinical quality, and overall productivity.

• Act as a collaborating physician for designated Nurse Practitioners through oversight, chart reviews, care consultations, mentorship, and necessary video visits.

• Uphold HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess an MD or DO degree from a recognized medical institution.

• Hold a current, unrestricted medical license with active board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.

• Have a minimum of 5 years of clinical practice experience following residency; telehealth experience is highly desirable.

• Maintain active medical licenses in at least one of CA, TX, or FL, along with 5 additional state licenses.

• Preference will be given to those eligible for expedited licensure through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) in 5 additional states.

• Willingness to acquire further state licenses as necessary.

• Availability to work weekends and designated holidays as part of the regular schedule.

• Understanding of regulatory and documentation requirements associated with physician collaboration and supervision of Advanced Practice Providers.

• Capability to operate independently while managing a high volume of patient interactions through video and chat.

• Proficiency in navigating telehealth platforms and EMR systems, including AI-driven tools and digital platforms.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to effectively manage time in a remote work setting.

• Dependable high-speed internet access.

• Excellent communication skills, clinical judgment, and ability to engage patients effectively.
