This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland, +1 more state.
• Oversee the coordination of physical security needs during project design phases.
• Engage in multidisciplinary design reviews to identify conflicts, constructability issues, and potential enhancements.
• Evaluate architectural, civil, and landscape designs concerning perimeter security, gates, barriers, access control, CCTV coverage, and security operations facilities.
• Offer expertise on Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), layered security, and comprehensive security strategies.
• Align security requirements with site circulation, egress, utilities, landscaping, and operational factors.
• Suggest solutions that balance security, operational needs, aesthetics, and budget constraints.
• Assess RFIs, technical submittals, shop drawings, product data, and equipment specifications.
• Manage drawing revisions, project updates, and design transitions.
• Perform QA/QC site inspections to ensure installation compliance.
• Generate site assessment reports, non-conformance reports, punch lists, and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Document field feedback, lessons learned, and challenges encountered during installation.
• Provide security consultancy services that align with client needs, regulations, and standards.
• Create consultancy reports, technical studies, cost analyses, and procurement recommendations.
• Facilitate client meetings and workshops, documenting actions and outcomes.
• Implement security risk management methodologies and propose mitigation strategies.
• Convey technical, strategic, and design information through reports, presentations, and formal submissions.
• Build relationships with stakeholders, clients, and senior business leaders across multiple EMEA projects.
• Lead design workgroups while ensuring client confidentiality and integrity are maintained.
• A third-level qualification in Electronics is highly preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience with IP video and access-controlled enterprise security systems.
• Background in security system design and telecommunications environments.
• Proficient in using CAD and Bluebeam, with a solid understanding of BIM.
• Familiarity with Lenel, Genetec, AMAG, Software House, Milestone, and Avigilon.
• Knowledge of perimeter protection, gates, fencing, barriers, CPTED, PAS ratings, and Secure by Design principles.
• Understanding of EN and BS standards relevant to security design and installation.
• Insight into door ironmongery and the requirements for physical security infrastructure.
• Experience in the data center sector is advantageous.
• Knowledge of physical security system design.
• Familiarity with CCTV and access control systems.
• Competence in reviewing technical documents and drawings.
• Experience in security consultancy and risk assessment.
• Skills in QA/QC inspections.
• Electrical aptitude and ability to interpret schematics.
• Knowledge of security design standards and technical reporting.
• Skills in stakeholder management, client engagement, workshop facilitation, and technical presentations.
• Capability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
