Pharmacy Technician Liaison, Advanced Therapeutics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Conduct benefit investigations, which include running test claims, submitting prior authorizations, documenting patient records, and performing outreach and follow-up calls with patients.

• Fulfill benefit investigation requests from the Advanced Therapeutics PharmD and APP team, ensuring results are documented in the electronic medical record.

• Process prior authorizations both online and via telephone; appeal decisions as necessary and maintain communication with insurers.

• Inform providers and patients about manufacturer patient savings opportunities.

• Reach out to patients regarding insurance determinations, rejections, and information related to prescription filling.

• Keep a continuous inventory of relevant medications from internal pharmacies and provide daily updates to the clinic team.

• Arrange prescription deliveries with patients and the Home Delivery pharmacy, queuing prescriptions for the home delivery team.

• Maintain an organized work environment and assist in monitoring quality indicators.

• Identify issues and areas for improvement, engage in problem-solving initiatives, enhance operations, and take part in Continuous Quality Improvement activities and teams.

• Operate under the direct supervision of the operations manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or an equivalent qualification.

• Current licensure with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy.

• National certification through PTCB or ExCPT; if not already certified, certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

• At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Pharmacy Technician.

• Strong proficiency in mathematics.

• Familiarity with and the ability to utilize a computer effectively.

• Capability to accurately, efficiently, and dependably follow both oral and written instructions.

• Flexibility to work in a hybrid or remote setting.

• A positive work ethic and a professional demeanor.

• Availability to work Monday through Friday, on a per diem basis as needed, between the hours of 8am and 5pm.
