Pharmacy Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with Pharmacists in the Medicare sector to enhance member health and safety.

• Assist in ensuring the availability and cost-effectiveness of essential medications and prescriptions.

• Act as the primary operational support for the Medicare Pharmacy department.

• Guarantee adherence to regulatory requirements, strict timelines, policies, and objectives.

• Engage in staff meetings and relay relevant information as necessary.

• Provide support to the Medicare Pharmacy Team with various operational responsibilities and tasks.

• Diagnose issues, report findings, and follow up on insights from daily reports.

• Execute additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is required.

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a pharmacy setting is essential.

• Familiarity with medications and their common uses is necessary.

• A preference for understanding insurance claims, pharmacy benefit managers (PBM), and adjudication processes.

• Capability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.

• A strong desire to research and stay updated on Medicare law changes annually.

• Must ensure the security and confidentiality of records and information.

• Adherence to segregation of duties guidelines is required.

• Ability to periodically lift and carry items weighing up to 40 lbs.

• Required skills include Customer Service, Documentation, Drug Information, Microsoft Office, Prioritization, Report Processing, Researching, Verbal Communication, and Written Communication.
