Pharmacy Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Assist in the preparation and processing of documentation related to prescriptions.

• Maintain precise records for patients and the pharmacy.

• Support the entry of prescription data and confirm its accuracy.

• Aid in the management of medication inventory, including stock control and ordering.

• Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages as necessary.

• Ensure that all pharmacy documentation is thorough, accurate, and current.

• Communicate professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and internal teams.

• Provide assistance to pharmacists with administrative and operational responsibilities.

• Uphold the confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all healthcare regulations.

• Perform general administrative tasks to ensure the efficient functioning of the pharmacy.

• Assist with other duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in a pharmacy, pharmaceutical, or healthcare setting is essential.

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant is highly beneficial.

• Strong skills in administration and organization.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to prioritize various tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Professional, reliable, and trustworthy.

• Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Comfortable with learning new pharmacy systems and software.

• Experience in processing prescriptions or pharmacy-related documentation.

• Familiarity with medication inventory or stock management.

• Knowledge of pharmacy regulations and best practices.

• Experience in customer service within a healthcare or pharmacy environment.

• Ability to work US hours (9am–5pm EST).

• Occasional weekend availability is required.
