Pharmacy Analyst – 340B

📋 Description

• Assist in enhancing the operational efficiency of the Pharmacy Department through effective fiscal management, data analysis, and the upkeep of departmental statistics and reports.

• Create and manage databases and projects utilizing cost accounting and IT expertise.

• Oversee billing, accounting, financial processes, and ensure compliance with internal control measures.

• Evaluate medication purchases, revenue, contract pharmacy fees, forecasts, budgets, expenses, pricing, invoices, shipping, and inventory workflows.

• Direct and manage System 340B entities in relation to Split Billing for Hospital Owned and Contract Pharmacy tracking.

• Assess 340B savings, accumulation levels, utilization, compliance, and identify cost-efficiency opportunities.

• Produce financial, budget, reconciliation, pharmacy spend analysis, and year-end reports.

• Offer data to support performance enhancement related to drug utilization, purchasing, billing, and reimbursement processes.

• Reconcile expenditure documentation with the hospital’s general ledger and correct any discrepancies.

• Detect unusual spending and systemic issues, reporting findings to the department leadership.

• Collaborate with pharmacy management, hospital departments, vendors, and the System Director of Pharmacies.

• Assist with budgeting, external audits, departmental objectives, change initiatives, meetings, committees, task forces, and various projects.

• Provide education to 340B professionals on Split Billing, Split Matching, and relationships with Contract Pharmacy.

• Maintain financial records, policy and procedure documentation, safeguards, and the integrity of systems.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Management, Hospital Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with two years of experience in pharmacy or healthcare, or one year of experience in pharmacy financial reporting.

• Associate degree in a relevant field, coupled with four years of experience in pharmacy or healthcare, or three years of experience in pharmacy financial reporting.

• High school diploma with eight years of experience in a healthcare environment.

• Minimum of two years of experience in a professional role within healthcare, preferably in Pharmacy.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Access.

• Capability to walk and stand for extended periods.

• Ability to lift 30 pounds and push 50 pounds.

• Manual dexterity to finger, handle, and reach.
