This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +2 more states.
• Engage with customers via phone and other communication channels regarding medication-related issues and medication therapy management.
• Confirm the accuracy and appropriateness of prescription orders, ensuring alignment with health conditions and identifying potential drug interactions.
• Address patient inquiries concerning dosages, storage guidelines, drug interactions, and additional drug information.
• Investigate insurance procedures and assist with medication claims and reimbursement challenges.
• Create a thorough customer care system for the pharmacy network to manage patient profiles and medication histories.
• Build a collaborative care network involving physicians, nurses, and healthcare providers.
• Develop customer care service protocols addressing medication-related concerns.
• Aid in establishing and executing the pharmacy's medication safety plan.
• Monitor for potential medication errors, adverse drug reactions, and contraindications.
• Incorporate reminder systems, medication synchronization, and counseling into customer care practices.
• Support FDA REMS program activities for specific drugs dispensed at retail locations.
• Offer medication therapy management and clinical consultation to healthcare professionals.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, patient education, clinical research, and teaching.
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
• Current Registered Pharmacist (RPh) licensure is mandatory in the state of residence.
• Must be a resident of Massachusetts, New York, or Rhode Island.
• Ability to secure a Pharmacist license in Rhode Island within 90 days of employment.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmacy practice.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficient understanding of medical terminology.
• Excellent collaboration and teamwork abilities.
• Strong growth mindset.
• Exceptional execution and delivery skills.
• Capability to assess the relative costs and benefits of potential actions.
• Advanced digital literacy skills.
• Pharmacy degree - Bachelor's or Doctorate.
• California RPh licensure is highly preferred.
• Experience in a call center is preferred.
