This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Participate in company orientation and product training activities during the initial half of the internship.
• Successfully complete product training prior to engaging in field activities.
• Acquire practical field experience in a specified geographic area during the latter half of the internship.
• Shadow a District Manager or Sales Representative while in the field.
• Collaborate regularly with Sales leaders to prepare for and reflect on field experiences.
• Receive coaching and constructive feedback from Sales leaders.
• Make weekly progress towards achieving Product Core Call certification in the final week.
• Create a pre-call plan and role-play scenario that showcases AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Present a final intern presentation demonstrating comprehension of sales performance drivers, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing strategies.
• Travel between AbbVie’s corporate headquarters in Lake County, Illinois, and the designated geographic district.
• Must be currently enrolled in a university, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, a business-related field, biological sciences, pharmacy, or a related field.
• Must remain enrolled at the university during the semester following the internship.
• Must graduate between [date not specified].
• Basic knowledge of the healthcare or biotechnology industry.
• Comfortable with frequent air and ground travel.
• Open to relocation upon full-time employment.
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Excellent problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal, leadership, and project management abilities.
