Personal Property Inventory Specialist – Temp

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Visit sites post-loss to assess and gather information for estimates and reports regarding replacement costs and the depreciated cash value of items.

• Conduct valuations for both personal and commercial losses.

• Carry out site inspections to assess and quantify damaged items.

• Prepare appraisal reports detailing replacement costs and depreciated values.

• Facilitate communication among all stakeholders involved.

• Determine costs, depreciation levels, and the impact of location pricing.

• Review final appraisal packages to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to submission and recommendation.

• Complete both internal and external training as required.

• Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the manager.

• Travel as necessary for job functions.

• Gather information and create photo journals of items during site visits.

• Analyze and compile data using estimating software, databases, and proprietary tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.

• Must hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle for company-related travel.

• Competent in Microsoft Office applications and capable of learning various electronic and manual estimating systems.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent analytical and effective communication skills.

• Previous experience in customer service roles.

• Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required at work sites.

• Physically fit to conduct inspections and carry necessary inspection equipment.

• Capable of documenting findings in written reports following inspections.

• Willingness to travel locally, regionally, and respond to CAT situations when needed.
