Personal Property Inventory Specialist – Temp

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Conduct visits to post-loss locations to inspect and gather information essential for creating estimates and reports concerning replacement costs and the depreciated cash value of contents for both personal and commercial losses.

• Execute tasks to furnish valuations for replacement costs and depreciated cash values of contents.

• Carry out site inspections to assess and quantify damaged contents.

• Generate appraisal reports regarding replacement costs and depreciated values.

• Facilitate communication among all parties involved.

• Determine costs, depreciation, and the impact of location pricing.

• Review final appraisal packages to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to recommendation and submission.

• Engage in and complete both internal and external training sessions.

• Undertake additional tasks as directed by management.

• Travel as necessary.

• Gather information and maintain a photo journal of contents during site assessments.

• Analyze and compile data utilizing estimating software, databases, and proprietary applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.

• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for company-related travel are mandatory.

• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is essential.

• Capability to learn various electronic and manual estimating systems is required.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary.

• Excellent analytical skills are a must.

• Strong communication abilities are essential.

• Previous experience in customer service is preferred.

• Ability to wear personal protective equipment as mandated by the work site is necessary.

• Physical capability to perform inspections and transport equipment required for such inspections.

• Must be able to document findings in reports following inspections.

• Willingness to travel locally, regionally, and for CAT response when necessary.
