This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
β’ Provide coverage during short-term, surge, and on-demand scenarios arising from military needs.
β’ Offer personal financial counseling and management services to military personnel and their families at military installations.
β’ Conduct individualized counseling sessions and consultations with commanders, providers, and staff.
β’ Facilitate briefings, presentations, classes, seminars, and workshops focused on personal financial management.
β’ Supply referral resources to participants.
β’ Assist service members in creating spending plans for extended absences.
β’ Develop and disseminate informational financial materials.
β’ Organize and promote Personal Financial Management classes and workshops throughout the military lifecycle.
β’ Provide age-appropriate classes or seminars upon request.
β’ Deliver virtual counseling using web-based tools, secure online chat, video communications, or secure video teleconferencing when authorized.
β’ Manage duty-to-warn situations in accordance with Department of Defense protocols.
β’ Communicate with leadership and engage in individual and group supervision.
β’ Share trends and issues impacting assigned installations.
β’ Participate in in-services, training sessions, quality improvement committees, and other contract-related activities.
β’ Perform additional duties as assigned.
β’ A bachelor's degree is required.
β’ An associate degree combined with 4 years of relevant experience may be accepted in place of a bachelor's degree.
β’ A high school diploma along with 6 years of experience may be considered instead of a bachelor's degree.
β’ At least 5 years of experience in financial counseling is required.
β’ Must be a U.S. citizen.
β’ Proficiency in fluent English is necessary.
β’ Bilingual capability in English and Spanish is required if specified by the contract.
β’ Must be able to secure a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
β’ Ability to successfully pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process is required.
β’ Possession of one of the following certifications is mandatory: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
β’ A valid in-state driver's license is required.
