This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
β’ Provide coverage during short-term, surge, and on-demand scenarios arising from military needs.
β’ Offer personal financial counseling and management services to military personnel and their families at military installations.
β’ Conduct individualized counseling sessions, consultations, briefings, presentations, classes, workshops, and referrals.
β’ Assist service members in formulating spending plans for extended periods of absence.
β’ Create and distribute informational financial resources.
β’ Organize, promote, and deliver Personal Financial Management classes and workshops throughout the military lifecycle.
β’ Address requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
β’ Provide virtual counseling via secure online chat, video, or secure video teleconferencing when authorized.
β’ Manage duty-to-warn situations in accordance with Department of Defense protocols.
β’ Engage with leadership and take part in both individual and group supervision.
β’ Share insights and issues impacting assigned installations.
β’ Participate in training, quality improvement committees, and other contractual activities.
β’ Carry out additional duties as assigned.
β’ A bachelor's degree is required.
β’ An associate degree combined with 4 years of experience may be accepted as a substitute for a bachelor's degree.
β’ A high school diploma along with 6 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
β’ A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial counseling is required.
β’ Candidates must be U.S. citizens.
β’ Fluency in English is mandatory.
β’ Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is necessary if specified by the contract.
β’ Capability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
β’ Must successfully pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
β’ Must possess one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
β’ A valid in-state driver's license is required.
