Permit Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Facilitate permitting activities as directed by OSP Construction.

• Identify required permits and coordinate both internal and external resources along with permitting authorities to enable construction passes.

• Engage daily with agencies to secure approvals, submit permit applications, and prepare prompt responses.

• Collaborate with internal departments to foster relationships and assist internal clients in expanding Metronet services.

• Oversee work within scheduled timelines, eliminate obstacles, and leverage analytics to predict and prevent future challenges.

• Implement technical and innovative solutions to achieve successful permitting acquisitions.

• Anticipate permit release dates to allow construction to allocate resources appropriately.

• Provide guidance to internal resources to ensure pole applications are submitted accurately and punctually.

• Compile, submit, and monitor permit applications, notifying management of delays along with actionable remedies.

• Coordinate with centralized permit teams to synchronize permit submissions with field construction timelines.

• Track and monitor permit packages through online systems, email communications, or in-person interactions.

• Supervise projects and communicate the status of each permit effectively.

• Travel to various locations to expedite and facilitate permit approval processes.

• Execute additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.

• Preferred experience in permitting across multiple states.

• Experience working within multidiscipline and cross-functional teams is preferred.

• Capability to collaborate within a team, manage diverse personalities, and drive projects to completion.

• Strong organizational skills and a solid problem-solving ability are required.

• Ability to engage with all levels of the organization, including external agencies, is essential.

• Excellent social, verbal, and written communication skills are required.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Must reside in Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio, Texas, or Wisconsin.

• Must be able to work in the Central Time Zone.
