People Operations Specialist II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as a key member of the People Ops team, providing support to employees throughout all stages of their employment and handling requests through Workday and Zendesk.

• Ensure adherence to the company’s HR Compliance obligations by overseeing statutory reporting, including EEO-1, CA PDR, and Affirmative Action Plans (AAPs) submissions.

• Contribute to the department's knowledge management efforts by evaluating, reviewing, and creating essential employee-facing resources using internal AI and productivity tools.

• Engage in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for projects and enhancements by developing, testing, and reviewing various scenarios.

• Assist HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) in executing mass and complex data modifications through Workday EIBs.

• Facilitate cross-departmental process improvements within the People team by proposing, planning, and implementing enhancements.

• Promote, exemplify, and integrate Samsara’s cultural values as we expand globally and establish new offices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in an HR/People team within a rapidly growing, global organization.

• More than 2 years of experience in supporting HR/Workforce Compliance initiatives.

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Fundamental understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and audit standards.

• Operational familiarity with Workday HRIS.

• Exceptional attention to detail, strong customer service orientation, and excellent organizational skills.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities in English.
