Peer Support Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Provide peer-based support by utilizing personal experiences to foster trust and encourage engagement in services.

• Assist in outreach and engagement initiatives to link individuals with services and community resources.

• Aid individuals in navigating available services and supports.

• Organize group activities, educational workshops, and community engagement events.

• Encourage self-advocacy, independence, and proactive involvement in services.

• Connect individuals to resources and facilitate their participation in care transitions.

• Advocate for recovery, independence, and successful integration into the community.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.

• One year of lived experience with a behavioral health condition and/or substance use.

• Certification as a North Carolina Peer Support Specialist.

• Valid driver's license.

• Must reside in Trillium’s Southern Region: Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus, Hoke, Lee, Moore, New Hanover, Robeson, and Scotland counties.

• Must be willing to travel within the catchment area as needed.

• Must pass a drug test as a condition of employment.
