This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide peer navigation intervention to a designated group of family caregivers through scheduled one-on-one telephone or video sessions.

• Leverage personal caregiving experiences to establish rapport, offer emotional support, validate experiences, and demonstrate coping strategies while maintaining appropriate boundaries.

• Distribute practical information and connect caregivers with pertinent services and resources.

• Accurately document session notes, contact logs, fidelity measures, and other required data in a timely manner.

• Identify caregiver distress or risk and escalate issues to the principal investigator or study team as necessary.

• Complete mandatory intervention training and engage in ongoing supervision, case reviews, and team meetings.

• Safeguard participant confidentiality and adhere to IRB, HIPAA, and study regulatory requirements.

• Keep the study coordinator and principal investigator informed about caseload status and scheduling.

• Provide insights from the peer perspective to enhance intervention materials.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent certification, or a combination of education and/or experience.

• Personal lived experience as a former family caregiver for a relative or close friend with Alzheimer's disease.

• Willingness and capability to complete study-specific intervention training prior to conducting sessions.

• Willingness and capability to engage in ongoing supervision and case reviews.

• Strong interpersonal skills and active listening abilities.

• Empathy, reliability, confidentiality, and the ability to set appropriate boundaries.

• Ability to identify caregiver distress or risk and escalate issues according to established protocols.

• Competence in following intervention protocols, as well as IRB, HIPAA, study regulatory, and privacy requirements.

• Capability to document contacts accurately and enter data as required.

• No specific certification or professional license is required.

• No specific work experience is necessary.

• A driver's license is not required.

• External candidates receiving an offer must complete relevant pre-employment screenings, including criminal background checks and, if applicable, drug screening, employment and education verification, physical examinations, vaccinations, and/or governmental registry checks.
