
Pediatric Obesity Specialist – CA License

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Conduct 60-minute virtual intake sessions to assess individuals for obesity/overweight and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Deliver comprehensive clinical services, which include medication management with GLP-1s and other anti-obesity medications, as well as ordering and interpreting diagnostic labs.
• Facilitate “Positive Parenting for Healthy Weight” Shared Medical Appointment groups.
• Collaborate with behavioral health professionals and make referrals to other services as necessary.
• Conduct 30-minute medical follow-up sessions to evaluate progress and modify treatment plans accordingly.
• Accurately complete clinical documentation and administrative tasks in a timely manner.
• Work alongside nursing staff on prior authorizations and care coordination efforts.
• Actively contribute to the development and refinement of the Obesity and Overweight care model, workflows, and clinical tools.
• Must be licensed to practice medicine in California with an active DEA registration.
• Board certification in Pediatrics is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in patient care is necessary.
• Strong interest or experience in Lifestyle Medicine, nutrition coaching, and physical activity is essential.
• Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) and telemedicine tools for virtual consultations.
• Experience working with families from diverse backgrounds and a commitment to culturally responsive care.
• Enthusiasm for joining a rapidly expanding startup and refining new care models.
• Board certification in Obesity Medicine is preferred.
• Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
• Additional state licenses are advantageous, or the willingness to obtain them with support.
• A reliable, secure internet connection in a private, distraction-free environment for remote care is required.
• Availability to provide care Monday through Friday during business hours from 8am to 8pm Pacific Time.
