Pediatric Hospital Sales Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Promote, manage, and expand Abbott Nutritional products within hospital environments.

• Establish and support sales objectives in key hospital systems for Similac, Neosure, and Human Milk Fortifier HPCL.

• Conduct negotiations and manage contracts with hospitals.

• Collaborate with hospital supply chains.

• Provide information on products, clinical studies, protocols, and guidelines in a sales context.

• Assist with the launch of new products.

• Navigate various hospital departments, including NICU, Pediatrics, Pharmacies, Purchasing, PICU, Nurseries, and Nursing units.

• Organize evening educational sessions for healthcare professionals 1–2 nights per quarter.

• Oversee territory budgets and administrative tasks.

• Serve a diverse range of customers, including NICU, Pharmacy, Purchasing, PICU, Nurseries, Neonatologists, Dietitians, Nutritionists, RNs, and Supply Chain personnel.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is required.

• The ideal candidate will be a NICU Registered Dietitian or a NICU Registered Nurse.

• Significant clinical/medical sales experience in a hospital setting is essential.

• Experience collaborating with Supply Chain and Healthcare Professionals is necessary.

• Must be capable of lifting up to 15 lbs.

• Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and autonomy.

• Strong administrative and time-management skills are required.

• Proficient in budget management.

• In-depth knowledge of products, clinical studies, protocols, and guidelines is critical.

• Ability to effectively collaborate with Dietitians, Physicians, and Nurses.

• Local candidates only; position based in Richmond, VA.

• Willingness to travel up to 2 hours from Richmond, with 5–10% overnight travel for regional/national meetings and training sessions.
