This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Deliver direct assistance and consultancy to payroll clients.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of payroll systems and relevant laws.
• Independently oversee client relationships with guidance from the Payroll Supervisor.
• Address and escalate issues or challenges promptly when necessary.
• Ensure the accuracy of payroll information and rectify discrepancies.
• Review and process payrolls, update employee records, calculate and distribute bonuses or severance, verify federal and state tax calculations, and reconcile payroll deposits, tax withholdings, and wage garnishments.
• Generate reports detailing employee earnings, taxes, deductions, and employer contributions.
• Cultivate trusted relationships with clients and provide consultations on payroll issues.
• Uphold the confidentiality of employee information.
• Offer technical software support to clients.
• Identify and document out-of-scope work while uncovering opportunities to enhance client services.
• Assist the implementation team as required.
• Conduct client interviews to assess payroll requirements.
• Manage the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring timely project completion and client satisfaction.
• Educate clients on payroll procedures.
• Support new hires and less experienced team members.
• Provide constructive feedback to new hires and junior staff.
• Share insights and lessons learned to enhance team capabilities.
• Research and keep up-to-date with product knowledge on ADP software platforms.
• Stay informed about local, state, and federal regulations and practices.
• A 2-year degree is preferred, or equivalent experience of 2 years in lieu of a degree.
• Familiarity with ADP software platforms is advantageous.
• Proficient in Outlook and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Highly detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong adaptability and ability to multitask.
• Capable of effectively working in a fast-paced environment while serving multiple clients.
• Committed to delivering outstanding client service.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate professionally with all levels.
• Quick learner of new technologies and processes.
• Ability to learn from experiences and incorporate new knowledge and skills into daily tasks, sharing insights with colleagues as appropriate.
