Payroll Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage payroll for staff employees.

• Input payroll documentation for processing as it is received.

• Address employee inquiries regarding payroll.

• Support employees with the timekeeping system.

• Prepare pay input entries for managerial review utilizing Workday Payroll Calculations.

• Assist employees with Employee Self Service options for taxes and payment elections.

• Respond to employee questions concerning Form W2.

• Address employee inquiries related to Cafeteria 125 pre-tax deductions.

• Aid management with employee time entry and submission through the time and attendance system.

• Collaborate with Human Resources and campus personnel to ensure payroll information is accurate, complete, and timely.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent training and experience is preferred.

• 1-3 years of payroll administration experience in a medium or large organization.

• Proven knowledge of customer service practices.

• Ability to work independently.

• Detail-oriented with the capability to follow up, resolve, and close all issues.

• Proficiency in Excel.

• Knowledge of FMLA regulations.

• Understanding of garnishment regulations by state.

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

• Communicate with precision, diplomacy, and confidentiality.

• Willingness to work more than 40 hours per week as business needs arise.

• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of management.

• Capacity to handle stressful situations effectively.

• Strong mental acuity.
