This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Deliver direct support and consulting services to payroll clients.
• Possess a comprehensive understanding of payroll and stay updated on payroll practices and regulations.
• Manage client relationships independently while working under the guidance of the Payroll Supervisor.
• Raise issues or challenges for timely resolution as necessary.
• Ensure the accuracy of client payroll information and address discrepancies within payroll systems.
• Review and/or process payrolls to meet client deadlines, which includes updating employee records, calculating and processing bonuses or severance, reviewing federal and state tax calculations, and reconciling payroll deposits, tax withholdings, and wage garnishments.
• Generate reports detailing employee earnings, taxes, deductions, and employer contributions for social security and unemployment.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with clients and provide consultation on payroll-related matters.
• Safeguard the confidentiality of employee data.
• Effectively communicate detailed information in both written and verbal formats.
• Offer technical software support to clients.
• Recognize and document out-of-scope work while identifying opportunities to enhance client services.
• Assist the implementation team as required.
• Conduct client interviews to ascertain payroll needs.
• Oversee the implementation of new client projects, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction.
• Educate clients on payroll processes.
• Support and mentor new hires and less experienced team members.
• Share insights and lessons learned to enhance team capabilities.
• Conduct research and maintain expertise on ADP software platforms.
• Stay informed about local, state, and federal practices and regulations.
• A 2-year degree is preferred or equivalent experience of 2 years in lieu of a degree.
• Familiarity with ADP software platforms is advantageous.
• Proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Highly detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Strong adaptability and multitasking capabilities.
• Capacity to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment while serving multiple clients.
• Commitment to providing outstanding client service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; communicates appropriately and professionally with all levels.
