This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the global payroll operations for both domestic and international employees within the organization.
• Guarantee precise, timely, and compliant payroll processing from start to finish.
• Collaborate with the Senior Director of Global HR Operations on payroll strategy, operational excellence, compliance, and process enhancements.
• Manage payroll administration utilizing ADP Workforce Now and liaise with international payroll service providers.
• Perform bi-weekly payroll audits for the U.S. and address any discrepancies prior to submission.
• Supervise global time-off management and country-specific leave policies, including accruals, eligibility, carryover, and statutory requirements.
• Handle payroll tax registrations, jurisdiction setups, withholding requirements, filings, reconciliations, and year-end processing tasks.
• Keep employee payroll records updated, including earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, direct deposits, and benefit deductions.
• Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts and assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Oversee the integration of HRIS, timekeeping, benefits, finance, retirement, and third-party payroll systems.
• Ensure that employee lifecycle transactions are accurately represented in payroll.
• Create and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Address employee inquiries regarding payroll and resolve any issues that arise.
• Coordinate both internal and external payroll audits and compliance initiatives.
• Track payroll legislation and implement necessary regulatory adjustments.
• Enhance payroll processes through automation, system upgrades, and operational efficiencies.
• Generate payroll metrics, reports, and analytics for leadership review.
• Lead payroll projects that involve system implementations, acquisitions, organizational changes, and process improvements.
• Train, mentor, and develop payroll team members in a player/coach role.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive payroll experience, including leadership roles in payroll.
• Proven experience processing payroll for multi-state and/or multinational organizations.
• Practical experience with ADP Workforce Now (WFN).
• Background in managing payroll tax compliance, reconciliations, and year-end payroll activities.
• Experience collaborating with third-party international payroll providers.
• Ability to work closely with HR Operations, Finance, Internal Audit, Tax, Accounting, Benefits, and external payroll providers.
• Strong understanding of payroll compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in supporting audits and executing payroll process enhancements.
• Advanced knowledge of payroll administration and compliance procedures.
• Extensive experience managing payroll through ADP Workforce Now (WFN) or similar HRIS/payroll solutions.
• Experience coordinating payroll across multiple countries and collaborating with global payroll providers.
• Knowledge of payroll taxation, wage and hour regulations, and employment compliance.
• Familiarity with payroll accounting, reconciliations, and general ledger processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, lookup functions, formulas, and data analysis.
• Capacity to interpret payroll legislation and apply regulatory changes.
• Exceptional project management and process improvement skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality.
• Experience in documenting and enhancing payroll processes and internal controls.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certification as a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Global Payroll Management certification is preferred.
• Training or certification in ADP Workforce Now is preferred.
• Ongoing professional development in payroll compliance and employment regulations is encouraged.
