This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Execute advanced scheduling for patient appointments, procedures, follow-up visits, and ancillary services.
β’ Respond to incoming calls while delivering high-quality patient care and customer service.
β’ Schedule, reschedule, and manage cancellations and no-shows effectively.
β’ Maintain and update physician schedules along with endoscopy block times.
β’ Accurately collect and record patient information in accordance with AGA Documentation Requirements.
β’ Arrange procedures in AGA endoscopy suites or hospitals when necessary.
β’ Schedule relevant ancillary services at AGA.
β’ Manage Patient Portal and website information or appointment requests.
β’ Send information packets to new patients via mail or email.
β’ Address appointment inquiries and information requests from referring providers.
β’ Provide patients and their families with details regarding medical treatments or procedures; distribute or mail preparation instructions as needed.
β’ Achieve or surpass quality and productivity benchmarks.
β’ Respond to emails and voicemails, returning patient calls promptly.
β’ Complete staff requests for information to facilitate payment on patient accounts.
β’ Adhere to and promote HIPAA compliance while maintaining strict confidentiality.
β’ Engage in staff meetings, marketing initiatives, and ongoing customer service training.
β’ Carry out other assigned tasks and special projects.
β’ High School Diploma or GED is required.
β’ Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
β’ Strong skills in customer service are essential.
β’ Ability to type at least 45 words per minute.
β’ Preferred experience of 2β3 years in call center operations, eCW, specialty clinics, and/or gastroenterology.
β’ Proficiency in computer literacy is necessary.
β’ Capability to operate healthcare systems and various Microsoft Office applications.
β’ Bilingual skills are highly preferred, though not mandatory.
β’ Access to a quiet workspace for remote work with adequate internet bandwidth.
β’ Ability to interact courteously and respectfully with patients, visitors, colleagues, and physicians.
β’ Maintain a professional, friendly, warm, and helpful demeanor.
β’ Show compassion when dealing with patients who are unwell and seeking assistance.
β’ Ability to plan, prioritize, and efficiently complete multiple tasks.
β’ Work well under pressure, assessing, responding to, and communicating issues promptly.
β’ Communicate clearly with patients and coworkers via telephone, email, and in-person interactions.
β’ Ability to interpret and apply both clinical and non-clinical policies and procedures.
