Patient Intake Specialist, Mental Health

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary point of contact for patients and their families reaching out to Sailor Health.

• Assist older adults and caregivers throughout the mental health intake process.

• Provide support to patients, coordinate care, and offer emotional guidance.

• Aid patients in connecting with the most suitable therapist.

• Ensure that patients feel supported, confident, and understood during the intake journey.

• Oversee multiple patients at various stages of the process.

• Take initiative and contribute to the development of essential processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be located in Canada.

• Possess strong empathetic and effective communication skills.

• Demonstrate active listening and the ability to navigate challenging or emotional discussions.

• Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.

• Capable of managing several patients at different stages concurrently.

• Comfortable with learning Google Workspace, EHR platforms like Healthie, and CRMs such as HubSpot.

• Quick to learn new software.

• Interest in mental health and ensuring access to healthcare.

• Experience in healthcare, customer service, or administrative support is beneficial but not essential.

• Availability to work during Eastern Time Zone hours.

• Willingness to work one of the specified shifts between 9 a.m.–6 p.m. ET or 12 p.m.–9 p.m. ET.
