This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance to patients and their responsible parties on payment obligations, financial responsibilities, payment options, and collection processes.

• Suggest alternative payment sources and financial assistance options.

• Reach out to insurance providers or other resources and serve as a patient advocate.

• Begin collection of prepayments due and conduct follow-ups to enhance collection efforts.

• Recognize and address issues related to registration, financial clearance, insurance authorizations, billing, explanations of benefits, provider-based billing, governmental regulations, HCAP/FAP policies and limitations, MyAccount, and collections.

• Update and accurately document information in the relevant computer systems.

• Scan agreements and dispatch clinical clearance notifications.

• Work remotely from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. alongside caregivers from Cleveland Clinic.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED with three years of experience in a customer-facing role involving in-person or phone contact, OR an Associate's Degree with two years of experience, OR a Bachelor’s Degree with one year of experience.

• Candidates must live in the Northeast Ohio region.

• Strong skills in collections.

• Familiarity with EPIC and Cisco systems.

• Proficient in operating CRT/PC and other office equipment.

• Capability to remain seated and stationary for extended periods.

• Normal or corrected vision and manual dexterity adequate for personal computer tasks.

• Must adhere to standard precautions by using personal protective equipment as necessary.

• Compliance with Cleveland Clinic’s annual influenza vaccination program or obtaining an approved exemption is required.
