This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct structured training sessions and facilitate workshops for SNF/PDPM auditors, encompassing new employee onboarding and ongoing skill enhancement.
• Convert audit results and error patterns into focused training, coaching, and reinforcement initiatives.
• Provide personalized and group coaching to bridge performance gaps and enhance audit precision and consistency.
• Assist trainees in honing their skills in clinical documentation interpretation and classification logic for SNF claims.
• Strengthen the understanding of PDPM components, including MDS-driven reimbursement factors.
• Carry out observation sessions, case analyses, and teach-back exercises to confirm learner comprehension and application.
• Utilize performance reports and data to uncover trends, root causes, and opportunities for intervention.
• Aid trainees in meeting performance standards and advancing efficiently through training toward independent production.
• Collaborate with Quality, Audit, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to synchronize on audit logic, regulatory directives, and training priorities.
• Manage training documentation, encompassing progress tracking, coaching notes, and performance updates.
• Develop and enhance training materials, case studies, and job aids.
• RN is required; a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of HIPPS billing codes, MDS 3.0 coding regulations, and case management.
• At least 5 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility and/or Long-Term Care, auditing, or payment integrity.
• Strong familiarity with PDPM (Patient-Driven Payment Model).
• Experience with MDS assessments, SNF documentation, and reimbursement frameworks.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in delivering training, facilitation, or coaching within a coding or audit setting.
• Strong understanding of MDS, PDPM elements, and MDS-driven reimbursement.
• Capability to interpret clinical documentation and apply classification logic accurately in an audit context.
• Ability to conduct instructor-led, virtual, and blended training for adult learners.
• Skill in translating complex regulatory and clinical concepts into clear, practical, and engaging learning experiences.
• Strong analytical abilities to identify error trends, knowledge deficiencies, and training prospects based on audit data.
• Effective communication and facilitation skills, capable of engaging learners and managing group dynamics.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments with Quality, Audit, and SME partners.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Encoder tools (Optum, TrueCode, 3M, Webstrat), LMS, and MS Teams.
