Patient Care Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Handle orders from patients and referral sources.

• Address inquiries via phone and fax, while resolving patient concerns.

• Evaluate patient requirements and document referral requests for care coordination.

• Provide relevant information regarding equipment, supplies, and services to appropriate departments.

• Collaborate with the Insurance Verification Team to process patient details and gather benefit coverage information.

• Communicate insurance coverage details to patients and referral sources.

• Discuss necessary forms for billing with patients.

• Maintain effective communication and workflow among the branch, Sales team, Insurance Verification team, and referral sources.

• Assist the Enteral Nutrition Center with the initial admission of patients into service.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least two years of experience in customer service.

• A minimum of two years of experience in the healthcare field.

• At least one year of experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• High School diploma or GED required.

• Capability to work independently after virtual training.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adjust to complete tasks effectively.

• Proficient in clear and concise communication, both written and verbal.

• Familiarity with insurance terminology.

• Knowledge of medical benefits.

• Typing speed of 40–50 words per minute.

• Strong multitasking abilities.

• Experience with multiple screen setups.

• Basic math skills required.

• Prior call center experience preferred.
