Patient Access Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.

📋 Description

• Request and acquire prescriptions and authorizations from medical facilities and insurance providers.

• Follow up with healthcare providers and payers to guarantee the prompt receipt of necessary documentation.

• Address inquiries regarding Certificates of Medical Necessity (CMN) and requirements for participating providers.

• Re-confirm patient eligibility for ongoing services.

• Maintain precise and compliant documentation in accordance with HIPAA and regulatory standards.

• Communicate with patients, provider offices, and internal teams to resolve issues related to access.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in insurance authorizations, pre-certifications, or following up on prescriptions.

• Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency.

• Comfortable managing multiple patient accounts and meeting deadlines.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

• Capability to maintain a quiet, dedicated workspace that is free from background noise and distractions.

• Ability to participate in virtual meetings with a professional appearance and camera-ready presence.

• Demonstrated strong time-management skills, accountability, and self-direction.

• Must have reliable, high-speed internet access.

• High school diploma or GED is required.

• 2+ years of experience in healthcare administration, medical office, or insurance-related fields.

• Experience with insurance authorization or precertification is preferred.

• Experience in home health, DME, or enteral services is a plus.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
