This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a patient advocate to facilitate access to medications for prompt treatment initiation, training, and ongoing deliveries across healthcare provider offices, payers, and specialty pharmacies.
• Recognize patient support needs and preferred interactions to provide a smooth, customized patient experience.
• Assist patients in adhering to the treatment plan as prescribed by their healthcare provider.
• Offer support to patients and healthcare providers throughout the prior authorization and appeals processes.
• Educate both providers and patients on relevant payer policies.
• Supply support regarding the coverage status of each assigned patient.
• Keep precise information in the designated computer system to ensure data integrity.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, pharmacies, and other third parties.
• Perform benefits investigations, provide program information, assess eligibility, assist with reimbursement, enroll patients in copay support, and transition patients to patient assistance programs.
• Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare case management industry.
• Familiarity with medical or pharmaceutical terminology.
• Experience with health insurance and prescription reimbursement.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and privacy laws.
• Experience in reporting Adverse Events and Product Quality Complaints.
• Adherence to program business rules, standard operating procedures, and guidelines.
• Exceptional case management skills.
• A strong desire to learn and the capability to communicate that enthusiasm to others.
• Skills in collaboration and follow-up.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and culturally diverse environment.
• Capacity to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Competence to conduct interviews without the use of unauthorized artificial intelligence tools or external assistance.
