PAS Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +34 more states.

📋 Description

• Support self-pay patients in navigating the Colorado Hospital Discounted Care application process.

• Manage application processing and payment acceptance.

• Carry out customer service, registration, point-of-service collections, and payer authorization tasks.

• Validate patient demographics, eligibility, insurance benefits, consents, and authorizations.

• Record registration information and assign correct payers to accounts.

• Gather patient responsibility and achieve collection targets.

• Offer financial counseling and assist with Medicaid and financial assistance applications.

• Collaborate with patients, billing departments, vendors, physician offices, and payors.

• Address account issues and resolve patient concerns.

• Complete daily tasks, maintain productivity records, and meet accuracy and productivity objectives.

• Execute additional patient financial services responsibilities, including deposits, patient transport, and training of new hires.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in Customer Service and/or Call Center environments.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in Finance and/or Patient Financial Services.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent practical knowledge.

• Familiarity with patient financial services, financial collections, or insurance industry processes typically acquired through one or more years of experience.

• Capability to manage multiple tasks concurrently with minimal supervision and to work independently.

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Strong proficiency in common office software, including word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.

• CHAA certification is preferred.

• Prior experience with the Company's systems and processes is preferred.

• Previous cash collections experience is preferred.

• Additional relevant education and/or experience is preferred.
